About

The project's name is named after two different but related things: hot cocoa, a beverage, and Cocoa Hoto, a character from the franchise "Is The Order a Rabbit?" (also known as GochiUsa) by Koi.

To drive the whole point home, the project's logo is Cocoa Hoto herself, and Tippy is the default user's avatar.

This was originally forked from Gitea by YakumoLabs as the Iced Coffee project, which was short lived, based on the latest stable release as of the fourth quarter of the year 2025, the 1.25.x series, then formally renamed to Cocoa, albeit remaining a soft-fork where upstream commits land by means of cherry-picking, whenever possible.
